SloEnduro Krokar 2026 · Dobrna, Slovenia
Dead last, but still a finish worth keeping.
Round three of SloEnduro 2026 arrived in Dobrna with five natural stages, a long transfer to Paski Kozjak, and a blunt reality check after an XC-heavy season. The result was 51st overall in a combined stage time of 25:01.20.
Stage 1 was the most technical descent of the day and it went badly. The rest of the weekend became less about rescuing a result and more about finishing five stages, learning a new place, and keeping the honest record.
Last classified rider, after five timed stages.

I Finished DEAD LAST at SloEnduro Krokar | Enduro Racing in Slovenia
Practice day, the long race transfer, all five stages, and the properly unvarnished result from Dobrna.
Saturday practice
The first look at five stages was not quite the clean rehearsal planned.
SloEnduro Krokar brought round three of the 2026 series to Dobrna, Slovenia. Saturday practice offered the first look at five natural stages and a long day of pedalling between them.
A wrong turn meant repeating two stages and missing part of another. It was not ideal preparation, but it did reveal the defining shape of the weekend: steep transfers, forest trails, and enough rough rock to make line choice matter.
After a season concentrated on XC and marathon racing, this was a useful reminder that fitness and enduro speed are related, but not interchangeable.
Race day
A two-hour transfer led straight into the stage that decided the mood.
Sunday began with an almost two-hour transfer to Stage 1 on Paski Kozjak. It was the most technical stage of the race, and I rode it badly.
The remaining stages were faster and more manageable, but enduro does not offer much time to recover a large early loss. Each descent became a chance to settle down, ride cleanly, and learn rather than chase a result that had already slipped away.
The final classification was 51st overall and last classified rider, with 25:01.20 across the five timed stages. It is not a result to celebrate, but it is an honest race completed.
Why it still counted
Dead last can still be a proper finish.
The video title says it plainly: dead last. It is also the third SloEnduro round completed this season, two full days on the bike, and another part of Slovenia discovered through a race course.
Dobrna made the distinction between racing disciplines very clear. XC conditioning helped on the climbs, but technical stage speed needed a different kind of commitment, confidence, and repetition.
That is enough reason to keep the result in the archive. Racing is not only a collection of good days; it is the record of showing up, finishing, and taking the next lesson with you.
Full race-day activity
Intervals.icu data covers the complete 5h 22m race-day recording: transfers, stage waits, and the five timed descents. Enduro result time is the combined stage time above.
Heart rate distribution
126 bpm average and 179 bpm maximum across the complete day, where transfer climbing and waiting naturally dominate the timing.
Power distribution
84 W average across the complete activity. The large Z1 share reflects the non-timed transfers and waiting between stages.
Route and effort
The GPX preserves the whole day, not just the timed descents.
The supplied race-day recording covers 37.9 km, 1,450 m of climbing, 4h 00m moving, and 5h 22m elapsed. It includes the transfers needed to reach each special stage; that context belongs on the map even though it does not count toward the Enduro result.
